About Keith
Keith Edgerton graduated from Kansas State University in 1992 with an accredited 5-year degree in Architecture. He has 34 years of sustainability experience in medical and residential architecture and construction as a Project Manager, Sustainability Coordinator, Designer, Facility Engineering Manager, Director of Climate Solutions, and Director of Sustainable Solutions.
Early in his professional career, while working for an architect, Keith chose to become a carpenter — learning how to build a custom home he designed as a way to deepen his competence as a designer. After completing several sustainable design-build residential projects, he returned to medical architecture and then worked for a General Contractor specializing in medical construction, as well as banks, schools, churches, and office buildings.
From 2009 to 2019, Keith served as the Sustainability, Construction, and Employee Transportation Coordinator for the Providence Health System in the southwest region of Washington State. Over his final year with Providence, he filled the role of interim Facility Engineering Manager for Centralia Hospital before being hired as the Facility Engineering Manager for St. Peter Hospital, a 390-bed Acute Care Hospital in Olympia, WA.
From 2020 to 2026, Keith served as the U.S. Director of Climate Solutions for Health Care Without Harm (HCWH), supporting the U.S. health sector in its efforts to decarbonize and build climate resilience.
In January 2026, Keith joined Eneration, Inc., a sustainability services startup out of La Crosse, WI serving the U.S. healthcare sector. Eneration operated as a performance-based contractor — helping health systems save money through energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste reduction, and only getting paid through the savings generated. An innovative, no-risk proposition for clients.
Now Keith is bringing his 34 years of experience in sustainable practices home — using them to support sustainability on the island of Kauaʻi and across the state of Hawaiʻi.
